Sauerkrauts
Posted by lauraweiss | Filed under Specialties
Known as the “miracle cabbage,” sauerkraut is a traditional fermented vegetable dish that has been revered for centuries as a remedy for constipation. Now we know that it is so much more than that!
A synergistic companion to any cooked food, sauerkraut is rich in vitamin C, soothes the nervous system, and facilitates the breakdown and assimilation of proteins (Wise Traditions in Food, Farming and the Healing, Fall 2001 Issue). Our krauts are each fermented for six weeks and available seasonally. We are always coming up with new recipes for our exciting and flavorful krauts. We’d love to hear how you use our sauerkrauts.
