|Goodbye and Thank You to CCTP3 Students, and to Seth Peterson
We say goodbye and thank you this week to our summer group of students — Renee Avalos, Carla Gerner, and Robin Luu — who have been with us full time for the past four months. Each of these women has been a great pleasure to work with, and we may see some of them in the kitchen in the future as members of our staff. We hope so!
We also say goodbye and thank you to Seth Peterson, who served as our kitchen manager for the past eighteen months.
Seth brought a great passion for cooking technique, culinary traditions, and quality control to Three Stone Hearth. We are very grateful for his contributions. In addition to managing the day-to-day production four days a week, Seth contributed his love of teaching to the kitchen, leading students and staff in exciting culinary adventures that the rest of us got to enjoy at lunch time. A devoted member of Slow Food East Bay, Seth can frequently be found teaching classes, gardening, beekeeping or otherwise transforming local foods into other fabulous forms.
The truth is that few people ever really leave Three Stone Hearth, they just become part of the large family that this kitchen has become. Many folks return in new roles when the time is ripe and right. We are excited to see what the future brings with and for these beautiful people who have touched our lives.
